Initial Situation And Requirements
IBC Solar Projects Pvt. Ltd. had overseen the engineering, procurement and construction of a 3.02 MW AC/2.31 MW DC solar power plant located in Tamil Nadu, India, commissioned in February 2018. The next step was to have the facility inspected and subjected to performance tests according to IEC/EN 62446:2010. IBC Solar Projects entrusted TÜV Rheinland to carry out the inspection and performance tests.
Solutions, Results
As part of the inspection, our team of experts took IV Curve measurements on 50 out of 468 strings, selected randomly, and analyzed readings for performance deviation. We found that modules were in compliance with IEC 61215 and IEC 61730-1 and -2. We performed infrared scanning on all modules, SMUs, and inverters as above. We found all system components, PV arrays, inverters, transformers and the HT panel in operation, and during the inspection the plant was functioning satisfactorily. Work is in progress on the plant monitoring, SCADA and weather monitoring station.
Did you know?
The plant has an overall capacity of 3 MW and is connected to an 11kV state grid via one 3 MVA transformer and HT panel. Each string is designed to have 20 modules connected in a series and, 13 strings are connected to one string inverter trough with 15 A fuses.
