Cambodia - Prakas on Type Approvals and Conformity Assessment of Telecommunications Equipment
Recently, the Institute of Standards of Cambodia notified WTO regarding Prakas onType Approvals and Conformity Assessment of Telecommunications Equipment.
The Prakas on Type Approvals and Conformity Assessment of Telecommunications Equipment covers the following Telecommunication Equipment:
- Wired Telecommunications Equipment in Appendix 1 and
- Radiocommunication equipment from Appendix 2 to Appendix 13 (Cellular Base Stations and Repeater Systems, Cellular Mobile Terminals, Land Mobile Radio, Short-Range Devices, Internet of Things, Ultra-Wide Band Devices, Intelligent Transport Systems, Maritime Radio Equipment, Aeronautical Radio Equipment, Amateur Radio Equipment, Global Mobile Personal Communication Satellite, and Integrated Receiver Decoder (IRD) for Use with 2nd Generation Digital Terrestrial Television Broadcasting System
This Prakas sets out the conditions and procedures of Type Approval and conformity assessment of Telecommunications Equipment with the aim of ensuring the Telecommunications Equipment to be imported, distributed, supplied, or used in the Kingdom of Cambodia complies with relevant Technical Standards and regulations, as well as promoting consumer rights and fair competition.
